How to reset your WordPress password

Generally when you are getting invalid password or you have forgotten you wordpress login password then it is very frustrating as there is no other way to login.

Step 2) Once the WordPress Admin panel login page is opened on your browser, you need to click on Lost your password? option as shown in the below screenshot.

Step 4) After clicking on Get Password option, a link is sent to your email. You can check your email and reset your password after clicking on the link.

You can now login to your WordPress Admin panel with your new password.

Method 2) Reset WordPress Login Password from Solftaculous

In this method you can reset password from the cPanl. This method is also useful as you need to do some easy steps to reset the login password. Also this method require the access of your cPnel account.

Step 1) First of all you need to login to your cPanel account.

Step 2) Scroll down to Software’s section and click on Solftaculous icon.

Step 3) Now you will be redirected to Softaculous page and click on All Installation icon in the top of the navigation bar as shown in the below screenshot.

Step 4) From your all installation you need to click on Pencil icon [EDIT] next to the WordPress installation.

Step 5) Scroll down to Admin Account section and enter the following:

Admin Username: You need to enter the username of your wordpress here.

Admin Password: Here you need to enter the new password that you want to set.

Step 6) Scroll down to button of the page and click on Save Installation button.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed the login password of your WordPress.

Method 3) Reset WordPress Login password from phpMyAdmin

Resetting WordPress Login password from phpMyAdmin is very effective method. You can easily change or reset WordPress login password directly from the database of your WordPress database.

If you want to reset wordpress login password directly from the database then you can easily reset it using this method.

Now let me entitled you through the detailed steps with screenshot with which you can easily reset your WordPress Login password.

For resetting wordpress login password from the phpMyAdmin you need to follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 1) Login to your cPanel account.

Step 2) Before proceeding to the actual steps, you need to check the database of your WordPress website.

Step 2) Now you need to scroll down to Database section and click on phpMyAdmin icon.

Step 3) After clicking on the phpMyAdmin icon, you will be redirected to a page in which you can manage your database of wordpress website.

Here you need to click on the database of your WordPress website for changing the password.

Step 4) Now the list of tables of your wordpress database is showing on the screen. You need to click on the _user table and then click on Edit link to reset the WordPress login password.

Step 5) First of all you need to encrypt password to MD5 encryption format. Visit MD5 Online to encrypt the password in MD5 Encryption format.

Step 6) Once done with encrypting the password, you need to enter the encrypted password in user_pass filed.

Step 7) Scroll down to bottom of the page and then click on Go button to save the changes.

Now you have successfully changed the password of your wordpress. You can now login to your WordPress using your new password.

Method 4) Reset WordPress Login Password from Admin Panel

If you are already login to your WordPress Admin panel and want to change your login password then you can easily change it be following the below mentioned steps:

Step 1) First of all you need to login to your WordPress Admin Panel.

Step 2) Now you need to navigate to Users > All Users in the left side of the Navigation bar.

Step 5) Enter your password in New Password. We recommend you to enter a strong password.

You can now login to your WordPress Admin panel using new password.
