Bandwidth means the data transfer a website is allowed to do every month. Just like data transfer limits on internet connections given companies like Airtel, MTN, Glo Mobile etc, hosting plans too have data transfer limit which we hosting providers call bandwidth.
Bandwidth is calculated monthly. It is calculated on each page load and each visit on your website (any image or media file or html or css etc are counted in this).
It is totally dependent on traffic and size of files being downloaded from the server. Each page load or download is counted in this.
Every month Bandwidth is refreshed and counter starts from zero.
Please follow the below mentioned steps to check the stats of Bandwidth consumed by your website from cPanel:
2) On the left side of cPanel page where STATS of your hosting account is displaying you can check Monthly Bandwidth Transfer as shown in the screenshot.
3) You can also check a detailed view of your Bandwidth by scrolling down to Logs section and click on Bandwidth icon.
4) Now you are redirected to a page where you can see the total bandwidth usage of your website of last 24 hours, last week , one or more months etc.
This includes your all HTTP(web), FTP(files), IMAP, POP3 & SMTP(mail) usage.
5) You can see a detailed view of your Bandwidth usage of a particular month by clicking on “Total (all services)” link.
