How to set up email forwarding in your cPanel account

What is email forwarding?

Email forwarding is a feature in cPanel in which you can set redirect for your Custom email addresses to another email addresses like Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo mail. By using email forwarding all your mails will be sent to the desired Email address at which you want to set as forwards. For eg. If you will forward your emails from you@yourdomain.com to you@gmail.com then all the mails receives at you@yourdomain.com will be sent to your@gmail.com.

How to set up email forwarding using cPanel?

To set Email forwarding from your cPanel you need to do following steps:

Step1: Login to your cPanel.

Step2: Under Mail section click on “Forwarders”.

Step:3 Click on “Add Forwarder”.

Step4: At the Add a New Forwarder page fill the following section as:

Address: In this section type the email address which you want to forward to another email address. And from the drop down menu select the domain name in which you have created this email.

Destination: In this section enter the email address at which you want to forward your email address.
Step5: Click on Add Forwarder.

Now a notification shows on the Add a New Forwarder page like:

All email sent to you@yourdomain.com will now be copied to you@email.com.

How to set up email forwarding using Webmails?

To set Email forwarding using your Webmails you need to do following steps:

Step1: Login to your cPanel.

Step2: Scroll down to Mail section and click on “Email Accounts”.

Step3: Now the list of Emails accounts will open on screen. Click on “More” drop down button in front of email address for which you want to set forwards. Then click on “Access Webmail”. A new page will open.

Step4: Click on “Forwarding Option” as shown in the below screenshot.

Step5: Now click on “Add Forwarder” button.

Step6: After that you need to enter the “Email Address” in the box at which you want to forward your email.

Step 7: After entering he email you need to click on “Add Forwarder” button. See below screenshot for help.

Step 7: After setting forwarder you can click on “Go Back” button to go back to interface section of your customize email.

Congratulation!! You have successfully set Email Forwarder on your customize email. Now all the mails receives at your customize email will be forwarded to your personal email.
