How to configure webmail with your gmail account


Configuring your domain’s Webmail with your gmail account is helpul when you want to recieve and send the emails of your domain on your gmail account.

Firstly you need the email configuration settings (POP3 and SMTP) that are present in the cPanel of your hosting account.Please follow the below mentioned steps :

1) Login to your cPanel.

2) Navigate to Mail section and click on “Email Accounts”

3) Now the list of Emails accounts will open on screen and you need to navigate to the email and Click on “More” drop down button in front of email address for which you want to configure on your gmail . Then click on “Configure Email Client”.

4) After that you are redirected to a page of “Mail Client Configuration” for the email for which you want to configure on your gmail.
Now scroll and navigate to Manual Settings and you need to copy “Secure SSL/TLS” or “Non-SSL” Settings that includes Username, Password, Incoming Server and Outgoing Server

Once you have the email configuration settings then afterwards you need to set up a POP3 and SMTP account in your gmail.

Before setting the POP3 and SMTP account, you need to remove the email forwarder(if you have set)on your email to your gmail account.

Now follow the below steps for setting up a POP3 account on your gmail:

1) Login to your Gmail account.

2) Now click on the Settings icon at the right side and a dropdown will appear and then click on “Settings”.

3) Now you are redirected to settings section, here you need to click on “Accounts and Import” tab from the top menu bar.

4) Scroll down and navigate to Check mail from other accounts and click on “Add a mail account” link.

5) Now a pop up of light yellow color will be appeared in front of you where you need to add a mail(POP3) account.
Here you need to enter the email addressin the text box that you need to add.

6) Now you need to enter the Username(Same as email), Password(of your email account that is set by user), POP Server(Incoming Server) and Select the port number(With SSL:995 and Non SSL:110).

After that make tick on all checkboxes except the last one and then click on Add accountbutton.

Here you can use the email configuration settings that you copied earlier from your cPanel of your hosting account.

7) Now you will see a success message that “Your mail account has been added” and here you need to select the first radio button of“Yes, I want to be able to send mail as you@yourdomain.com”.
After that click on “Next”button.

8) Now you need to Add another(SMTP) email address you own and you need to enter the your email in the “Name”(your name and email address will be shown on mail you send) field.
After that click on “Next Step”button.

9) Now you need to enter the SMTP Server(Outgoing Server)Username(Same as email), Password(of your email account that is set by user), and Select the port number(Non SSL:587 and With SSL:465 ).

After that click on Add account button.

Here you can use the email configuration settings that you copied earlier from your cPanel of your hosting account.

10) Now you will receive a confirmation email from google on your email that contains a verification link and a code.
Now login to your Webmail account ,either you can click on that link or copy that code that is present in the email.
After that paste the code in the text box and click on “Verify”.

By this way you can configure your domain email on your gmail account.
