Sometime users may need to update or add an IP in their domain’s DNS panel. You can easily enter an IP in A record of your domain’s DNS panel.
You can easily enter IP in A record of your domain’s panel to point your domain, sub-domain or Add-On domain to your hosting account using Simple DNS Zone Editor or using Advance DNS Zone Editor.
But before entering the IP in A record of your domain’s DNS panel, please get your hosting account’s IP from your hosting provider.
After getting hosting account’s IP you can easily enter it in your domain’s panel for pointing the particular domain to your specified IP using the below steps:
Step 1) Login to your cPanel.
Step 2) Scroll down to “Domains” section and click on “Simple DNS Zone Editor icon.

Step 3) Now you have redirected to a page where you need to select your domain for which you want to enter A record. You can select your domain as shown in the below screenshot.

Step 4) After selecting the domain, scroll down to “Add an A Record” section and enter the following:
Name: In this filed you can add your domain name, sub-domain or Add-On domain for which you want to enter A record.
Address: Here you can enter the IP of your hosting account.

Step 5) After filling above fields, you need to click on “Add a Record” button.

You can also check your entered A record on same page by scrolling down to “User-Defined Records” section as shown in the below screenshot.

Now A record has been successfully entered in the DNS zone editor of your cPanel. You need to wait for few hours for DNS propagation. After DNS propagation your domain will start working fine.
